Meet Brandon Schindler: Engineering Leadership in Eau Claire

Growing up in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Brandon Schindler didn’t have to travel too far from home to build his career with McDonough Manufacturing.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology – Mechanical Design, Brandon joined McDonough five years ago as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Last year, he stepped into the role of Senior Engineer and now oversees the engineering department at our Eau Claire facility.

His experience as a designer, combined with his education in mechanical design, gives Brandon a strong understanding of both the details that go into our equipment and the bigger picture of bringing an engineering project together from concept through completion.

Away from McDonough, life stays pretty busy. Brandon and his wife, Hailea, have been married for five years and have a one-year-old son, Everett. They also have a hobby farm that is home to a cow, sheep and goats.

When he gets some free time, Brandon enjoys hunting, fishing and being outdoors, but these days, one of his favourite ways to spend his time is simply being a dad and watching Everett grow up. Free weekends often mean heading north to his family’s cabin in northern Wisconsin, which his family built back in 1992.

After five years with McDonough, we’re fortunate to have Brandon leading our Eau Claire engineering team and bringing his knowledge and experience to the equipment and projects we work on every day.
