Sales Representative - Sawmill
Location: Eau Claire/Remote Office (with travel as required)
McDonough is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to support and grow our customer base. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, understands sawmills, and takes pride in representing a company with deep roots and a strong reputation.
The Sales Representative will work closely with customers, distributors, and internal teams to identify needs, provide solutions, and drive sales of McDonough equipment and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Promote and sell McDonough’s sawmill and heavy equipment solutions
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services
- Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and product information
- Travel to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events as required
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Track sales activity and maintain accurate records and forecasts
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy equipment
- Knowledge of sawmill, forestry, or wood-processing equipment is a strong asset
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Proficiency with basic computer tools and CRM systems
