Mike is known for his dedication and outstanding contributions to the sawmill industry, and with a career spanning five decades, ten years of which were spent with McDonough, Mike's expertise and unwavering commitment have significantly impacted McDonough and its valued customers. Throughout his career in the sawmill industry, Mike's leadership in running West Coast sawmills and later in the sales of optimization and capital equipment has been instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency and fostering enduring relationships within the industry. His tireless work ethic, combined with a steadfast dedication to customer satisfaction, has set a standard of excellence in the industry. The sentiments expressed by Matt Tietz, owner of McDonough, underscore the profound impact of Mike's tenure. His legacy of integrity, professionalism, and genuine care for the customer's best interests has left a permanent mark on McDonough and the wider industry. *“As Mike transitions into retirement, we can’t express enough our gratitude for his time with us. It would be impossible to measure the impact he’s made in our industry, always having the customers’ best interest in mind. Throughout his tremendous career, Mike has created very successful projects and numerous new friendships, always done the right way.
